2014 Carentan Liberation News
THE RACING PIGEON YOUNG BIRD CARENTAN NATIONAL

Liberation took place from Carentan, Saturday 13th September at 8:40 no wind turning to light east north easterly.
The birds fed and watered well yesterday with only 16 birds per crate they have been given a good start. Conditions at the liberation site are dry with broken cloud and sunshine breaking through, air temperature 12-13 deg C.
Visibility on the channel is 11 miles with patchy broken cloud all the way into England. Any mist patches will burn away as the day goes on, air temperature rising to 19-20 deg C. Cloud amounts will vary with large areas of warming sunshine. Winds will remain broadly east or north-easterly, 5-10mph.
The mayor of Carentan was present and assisted with the liberation of the pigeons.
